Towing Capacity, Trailer Hitch, and Wiring Harness for 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe XL
Question:
I have a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe XL and Hyundai is trying to tell me that its max towing capacity is 2000 but on here it shows it can tow up to 5000? Thank you for any help on this matter. I am looking at part number C56332

The towing capacities are shown are the capacities of the trailer hitch receiver as opposed to the vehicle; hitches are often made to handle larger capacities than the vehicles they fit in order to optimize its strength and durability.
This is the case with your 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe XL, which according to the owner's manual I found that so long as the trailer has brakes, the capacity is 2,000 lbs if you do not have the trailer (tow) package and 5,000 lbs if you do have that package. I do recommend verifying these things with your owner's manual and Hyundai dealer.
For a hitch I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13153.
This will be the easiest install on your 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe XL and has a 6,000 lb capacity but you do need to stay within your limits of either 2,000 lbs or 5,000 lbs.
For wiring if you have the factory tow package you will need the T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56332.
If you do not have the factory tow package you will need the Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236.
I have added links to video reviews and installs to check out as well.
