what does 2inch on a bike rack description mean does that mean the area going into the toe hitch is 2foot - by 2or does it mean something else?

The 2 inch hitch you see in the title and description for the bike racks we offer like the Thule Apex XT part # TH9026XT is the size of hitch that the bike fits. The 2 inch hitch size is definitely the most popular hitch size and most likely what you have but if you aren't sure just measure the opening of it. It should measure 2 inch by 2 inch internally.
