Is Swagman XP Folding 4 Bike Rack Compatible with OEM Class I Trailer Hitch on Subaru Outback
Question:
Hi, Im interested in buying the Swagman XP 4 Folding Hitch Bike Rack. I have a Subaru Outback with a Subaru-installed inch and a quarter Class 1 hitch. Can this bike rack work with this hitch?

The Swagman XP - Folding 4 Bike Rack # S64960 will fit inside the Class I hitch on your 2014 Subaru Outback Wagon, but since Class I hitches are only rated for up to 2 bikes you might consider getting something smaller unless you plan on swapping this bike rack to a larger vehicle when you're wanting to take more than 2 bikes on your trip.
For your application I recommend going with the Thule Camber 2 Bike Rack # TH9058 instead. This is confirmed to work with the Class I hitches on Outback Wagons. This comes completely assembled and the shank and arms can fold up in-line with the mast so the bike rack is a lot smaller than most other racks when it comes to storage.
