The 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada wasn't equipped with prewiring for a brake controller.
The easiest installation would be the Curt Echo, part # C51180 which works wirelessly, using your smart phone as the in-cab control unit. As long as your Bravada has a functioning 7-way trailer connector with functioning 12-V power on the pin in the trailer connector pin in the 1:00 position, the Curt Echo will be a plug and play installation that's even simpler that what you're looking for.
If you used the # 39523 PowerTrac brake controller, it'd need to be hardwired in using a brake controller install kit like # 5506. I've included a help article with a wiring diagram that will walk you through the process.
