Will Roadmaster XL Base Plates Fit a Blue Ox Aventa II Tow Bar on a 2007 Saturn Vue  

Question:

I purchased and installed the 3139-1 Roadmaster baseplate on my 2007 Saturn Vue and have a Blue Ox Aventa II towbar. I need an adapter to connect the two together. Will the BX88178 or the RM-033 be what I need? Will they both fit my baseplate? Other than cost, what is the difference between the two?

You can use either adapter, # RM-033 or # BX88178. The difference is that the Blue Ox brand adapter comes with quick disconnects. The Roadmaster adapter does not so to use it with Roadmaster XL or EZ style base plates, you would need to add them, # RM-201. However, there is a third alternative that comes from Roadmaster. It is the same thing as RM-033 but it comes with the quick disconnects. It is # RM-032. So out of all these options I would go with # RM-032 since it is least expensive.
