Transmission Cooler For 2007 Ford F150
Question:
I have a 07 f150 5.4 that I want to upgrade the trasmission cooler on. I want to take out the factory cooler and install this one in its place. I do a lot of heavy towing in the mountains. My question is what parts do I need to install this cooler on my truck? I see its just the cooler, no a kit. Im wanting the absolute most cooling capacity for the steep grades I regularly travel. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

You can indeed install a cooler like the # D52506 in place of the existing factory cooler, but you might consider installing it inline between the radiator and transmission as outlined in the help article I've provided. This will provide additional cooling which will work great because unless you live in a very cold climate, you really can't over cool a transmission.
You'll need one of two fittings. Use kit # D13024 for vehicles with 1/2"-20 thread on trans line fitting, or use kit # D13025 for 5/8"-18 thread fittings. You'll also need two # D98200 fittings.
