How Does Brake Controller Install in 2011 Chevy Silverado
Question:
I originally bought the Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN 1 for Our 2020 Tahoe but need to use it in my 2011 Chevy Silverado. I also purchased the Tekonsha 2-plug Brake Control Adapter which works in the 2020 Tahoe. Will this work in my 2011 Silverado? It seems like the red wire pin is missing in the fuse box under the dash where it would connect. Is there another adapter I would need? Please help

Your 2011 Chevy Silverado has brake controller wiring under the dash of the truck already but it's four blunt cut wires instead of a port that a connector can plug into. So what that means is you don't need anything else to install your controller but you'll have to do some hardwiring.
I attached an install video for a similar brake controller installed on a 2011 Silverado for you to check out and see the entire process.
