Ball Mount For 1-1/4 Inch Hitch On a 2002 VW Beetle with 4 Inch Rise
Question:
I need to get a 1-1/4 ball mount to fit a Draw-Tite Hitch, for a 2002 VW New Beetle, to pull a jet ski. I have the hitch installed, but no ball mount. I have a new ball Is there a 4 or 5 in riser type unit available for this unit? Thanks!

The Draw-Tite Class I 1-1/4 Inch Hitch, part # 24679, is the hitch that fits the 2002 Volkswagen New Beetle. It uses the Draw-Tite Ball Mount, part # 3594, that has a 4 inch rise. This ball mount comes with a pin and clip.
On Class I hitches you have to use the ball mount that is recommended for that particular hitch.
The # 3594 ball mount uses a hitch ball with a 3/4 shank diameter. Depending on the coupler size on your trailer you will need either the Tow Ready 1-7/8 Inch Hitch Ball, part # 19256, or the Tow Ready 2 Inch Hitch Ball, part # 19258.
If you need wiring for lighting I would recommend the Tow Ready Upgraded Circuit Protected Taillight Converter Hardwire Kit , part # 119178KIT.
