Base Plate Adapters for 2020 Jeep Gladiator With ARB Bumper

Question:

I am looking to flat tow a Jeep Gladiator with an ARB bumper. Specifically the Delux Classic #3450440. I have seen both blue ox and roadmaster make attachment points, #BX88357 and RM-035-1. I want to verify if one of these products will actually work for me. Thank you.

There are adapters which will attach to the D-ring bumper mounts on your 2020 Jeep Gladiator with an ARB bumper, though I was unable to find the exact size of the D-rings of your bumper. I recommend the Roadmaster option, and you simply need to take a couple quick measurements to determine the right adapter to flat tow with. Also keep in mind the mounting holes need to have a 7/8" or 1" diameter.

- 3/4" Thick Shackle Mounts: Adapter for Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts - 3/4" Thick # RM-035

- 1" Thick Shackle Mounts: Adapter for Jeep D-Ring Bumper Mounts - 1" Thick # RM-035-1

There are a number of other parts you will need to complete the flat towing set up for your 2020 Jeep Gladiator, and I'll list the recommended parts for you:

- Tow Bar: Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-676
- Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-154
- Supplemental Braking System: Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251
OR
- For a motorhome with air brakes: Demco SBS Air Force One Supplemental Braking System for Motorhomes with Air Brakes # SM99243

The Nighthawk tow bar is a great option because it has long arms which make it easier to maneuver when towing, along with integrated safety cables so you won't have to purchase them separately, saving you an additional expense.

The Flexo-Coil wiring kit is designed to prevent any type of electrical feedback to keep your Jeep's electrical system safe, and both the Stay-IN-Play DUO and Air Force One are strongly recommended because they are one-time installs which will never require any type of removal or reactivation, and give you braking proportional to that of your motorhome. This results in much smoother braking than most systems which send out a pre-set amount of braking power and thus are more rigid.

You may also need a high-low adapter such as # RM-070 in order to keep your tow bar level, and I've added a link to a help article which shows you how to determine if you need an adapter, as well as a link to our selection of adapters. Additionally, I have added links to instruction manuals, video reviews and installations for you to take a look at.
