Is a Titan Model 10 Actuator Worth Repairing or Should It Be Replaced
Question:
The Titan model 10 hitch one my trailern ew to me has a rusted coupler. It is the model for 2-5/16 ball. The boat is a 25 aquasport. Towing with 1999 suburban k1500 w tow package. I have been smashing away at the coupler to get the tube to release but it is rusted tight. Should I look at getting a new inner sleeve and if so what additional parts would I need? Inside the inner sleeve are 2 pistons but only 2 bushings? Is this normal? Is it worth rebuilding this or should I look into another hitch and if so, could you recommend anything? Thank you.

It would be really difficult for me to determine the cause of the issue without being able to tear down the unit. We do have some of the replacement parts for the Titan Model 10 Actuator but they are getting harder to find everyday so rather than dump more money into the unit a replacement would be the best option. The Titan Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator part # T4750600 for disc or part # T2478100 for drum is what I recommend.
