Can Load D 205/75R14 Trailer Tire Fit on Lionshead Aluminum Trailer Wheel
Question:
Would like to replace my ST205/75R14 C load 1760 at 50psi tires with better tire like the Kenda Karrier ST205/75R14 D load 2200 at 75psi tires on current wheels - LionsHead 14x5.5J aluminum wheels marked 1900 lbs on inside of spoke. Questions: Can I run a D load/75psi tire at 75psi on those wheels? Is the 1900lb wheel capacity relate to the axle/wheel weight load, tire inflation pressure, or combination? I recognize the valve stems will need replacement for the 75psi tire. My trailer has tandem 3500lb axles, trailer fully loaded weight is 5900lbs, which I don't expect to change. I like the idea of a having a better reserve weight capacity along with the M speed rating of the Kendas. Do I need new wheels to run the 75psi tires? Thanks

Your current wheels will easily handle the 75 psi rating and weight capacity of your trailer so you can keep them and install the tires you are wanting Kenda Karrier ST205/75R14 # AM10235.
