How to Pick Out Correct Rise/Drop Ball Mount to Tow Travel Trailer Level
Question:
I have a 1999 Toyota tacoma 2WD pickup with a V6 motor. I am purchasing a Fleetwood 207 SE tent trailer. Its a 8 3/4inch rise to the tent trailer. What do you recommend? i thought this one the RM-048-8 would work but it says for towing not trailering correct? Thanks, n

Picking out the correct ball mount for a hitch is pretty easy, but it does require you to go with one that will allow the trailer to tow as level as possible. To see how to pick out the correct rise/drop ball mount check out the help article I attached. Basically you measure from top of hitch opening down to ground and then bottom of trailer's coupler lip down to ground and compute difference.
Once you figure out how much rise/drop you would need you would want to check out the other link I attached that will take you to our page that has all of the ball mounts we offer.
Once you select the amount of rise/drop you need from the filters the correct ball mounts will be listed, and on their product pages there will be related products for the ball mounts that include 2 inch hitch balls.
