Mounting Bracket Recommendation for a 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2011 Acura MDX
Question:
I am contemplating purchasing the Curt hitch for my 2011 MDX, however, I like the look and the location of the OEM wiring harness. I dont really want the wiring harness to hang out of the tailgate or screw into the plastic bumper but rather attach to the hitch, right near the hitch receiver. It seems that the picture that you have for the 2010 MDX the one with the dark silver MDX that the harness is in the place where I would like it to be, however, how is it attached to the car/hitch?

To attach wiring harness # 118424 to the hitch you can use a different type of mounting bracket that does not require screwing into the plastic fascia. You can install the wiring harness like in the video I have linked and then use the 4-Flat Mounting Bracket, # 18144 which will attach to the hitch.
