The 2001 Toyota Highlander and your 2007 Toyota Highlander cannot use the same trailer hitches. Toyota made a few changes to the Highlander in 2004 because they introduced the optional third row seating for seven passengers.

The new designed created a depression in the trunk for all models and the rear bumper was changed as well. Due to these changes trailer hitch manufacturers had to design a new trailer hitch for the Highlander beginning in 2004 through 2007 so it would not interfere with the depression in the trunk and so that it would work with the new rear bumper.

For your 2007 Highlander, you will want to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch, # 75153, that you referenced. If you need a wiring harness and a ball mount to complete your towing set up, then I would recommend the Tow Ready Custom Fit Wiring Harness, # 118248, and Ball Mount Kit, # 989900.

I have attached installation instructions and videos for the trailer hitch and wiring harness for you to check out.
