2000 Toyota Sienna Wiring Harness Installation Quest

Question:

Ive got a custom hardwire kit with the converter for my 00 Sienna I know, Im totally stupid and got it before I checked here and saw the Plug-N-Tow!. I havent found any videos showing how to install these. I understand I need to connect the tail, left turn, stop, and right turn into my cars lights. Do I do this on the left or right side of the car behind the tailights? Why is the right turn wire green separate from the other wires? Do I need to connect all the wires to the drivers side and the right turn wire to the passengers side? I apologize for sounding stupid! I also have the 7 pole trailer wiring connector so I can attach it to the 4 flat but there are extra wires coming off of it black, green, yellowfor the brakes. Should I secure these wires to the car or do they dangle? Thanks for your help!

We have videos that will show you how to install your hardwire kit, however I would recommend getting the Plug-N-Tow, simply for the fact that you will not have to splice and test wires. Just plug it in and you are set. Depending on where you are located, we can have the wiring harness to you in a few days. I have included a link below to the Plug-N-Tow custom-fit wiring harness for your vehicle.

If you would rather hardwire the harness you have, the video I am recommending shows an installation on a different vehicle than yours, but the installation is very similar. There is a link to it and an FAQ about wiring below, which has charts that go over all the wiring colors.

As far as the 7-pole trailer wiring connector: if you are using electric brakes on the trailer, the blue wire would be run to the brakes, the black wire runs to the battery by way of a 40 amp circuit breaker, part 9510. If you have hydraulic brakes or back-up lights, you will need to tap into back-up lights with the yellow wire. If you are not using brakes (for example, if you are towing a small trailer), these wires can be bundled up out of the way. I have also included a link to the 4 to 7-way adapter and 40-amp circuit breaker.
