Is the Max Pressure Rating on My Rims A Cold Air Pressure Rating?
Question:
My rims are stamped 120lbs max. Is this a cold rating? I noticed that the pressure when driving on hot days gets up to about 125lbs. The tires are rated for 120lbs cold.

You are exactly right! 120lbs is the cold rating.
The fluctuations you are seeing are totally normal. So you're good!
