Can Crossbars From Older Vehicle Be Reused on 2017 Honda CR-V

Question:

I have the Thule 48 in.² bar from my old vehicle I would like to know if I can change the feet and mount and reuse the bar on my 2017 Honda CRV naked roof

It'll depend on the type of crossbar and how old it is.

If it's a square bar that does NOT have the slots in the underside, the crossbar is obsolete and wouldn't be compatible with the feet available today. You'd unfortunately need a whole new rack system. If it does have the slots on either end of the underside of the bar, you can replace the feet and fit kit mentioned below, and reuse the bars.

The Square Bar roof for a 2017 Honda CR-V is made from the following:

53 Inch Square Crossbar, part # TH712400
Evo Clamp Feet, part # TH710501
Vehicle Specific Fit Kit, part # TH145046

If you have the older AeroBlade or the Newer WingBar Evo Crossbars, you can certainly reuse those. You'd need the same Clamp feet and fit kit mentioned above, part # TH710501 and # TH145046.
