The Thule WingBar Evo Crossbar System part # TH711200, part # TH460R, and part # THKIT4047 which contains 47" long crossbars is the recommend size for a 2015 Ford Edge. The Malone DownLoader Kayak Carrier part # MPG114MD will work just fine with the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbar System, the carrier can be attached using the included universal clamps.

In regards to space, you should not run into any issues if carrying the kayaks on their side. That said, the crossbar length is chosen based on the vehicle.
