Weight Distribution for 2017 Ford Expedition Expedition Towing Camper
Question:
Greetings, I found two threads about towing with a Ford Expedition EL 2WD and weight distribution or suspension system enhancements. But the threads and supplied replies were not resolved. I am wondering if there is an update to this and if it is known that the SuperSprings will fit my 2017 Ford Expedition EL XLT 2WD or not? It doesnt seem a weight distribution system will work for my trailer because of how it is framed see picture, though perhaps Im mistaken and to weld on the brackets will void the warranty on my trailer. Therefore, Im assuming I need suspension enhancement but I dont see anything definitive for my vehicle with only 2WD. Any help you can offer would be great! Thank you ever so much for your time and assistance. God be with you and yours.

Normally for trailer frames like yours where there is interference above the frame you have to use a set of bolt on weight distribution frame brackets like the # RP58305. Normally this doesn't void the warranty of a trailer. Then you could use a weight distribution system like the part # RP65509 which would work great with your tongue weight range.
A WD system is preferred over suspension enhancement as it reduces suspension sag as well as improves handling and braking so it's the way to go.
At this time we do not have any SumoSprings that fit the 2WD models.
