What Would it Normally Mean if Trailer Running and 12 Volt Accessory Circuit of Wiring Isn't Active
Question:
I hooked up the Curt 7-way tester and the 12v did not light up and when turned on headlight the TM did not light up. Is that indicating that the power is not going to the trailer? I have hooked up a couple of trailers and there is no lights to them. I have changed the trailer lights several times. Thanks.

What you described would indicate that the trailer running lights circuit and the 12 volt accessory circuit of your 7-way are not active at this time. The running lights is most likely a fuse on the vehicle so check there first and for the other circuit it's most likely just a circuit not active as it's not always connected on vehicles.
You can activate it with 10 gauge wiring like part # 10-1-1 (sold by foot) with a breaker like part # 9510.
