Correct Adapter Harness for Tekonsha Prodigy P3 On 2013 Ram 1500

Question:

I have the Tekonsha P3 controller on my 2013 Ram 1500 Big Horn connected with the Tekonsha 3021-P connector to the factory harness. Once I start my truck it jumps up to 2.7-3v of power to the brakes without any application of the brake pedal. If I apply the manual trailer break and release it, the voltage s to a nominal 0.7-0.9 for a few seconds, then jumps back up. Ive replaced the 7-pin plug to rule out a short there. Im afraid Im going to have break drag while towing, and it seems Ram had some transition between 2012 and 2013 and I cant get a clear answer on if I have the proper adapter.

The correct Tekonsha Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers needed to install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 on a 2013 Ram 1500 is part # 3023-P. Therefore, it just sounds like you have the wrong adapter harness.
