Brake Controller Installation on the 2009 Ford F-150 Without the Brake Controller Port
Question:
My 2009 f150 xl doesnt have power to the port behind the dash. The fuse box under the hood doesnt have 2 pin in fuse slot for power to the brake controller. I bought a tekonsha p3 controller. Searching the web a f150 forum said Ford ran the brake controller wires under dash but didnt hookup on 2009 f150 xl without fog lights . How do I hook this controller up if port is dead ???

No problem we run into this often enough with some trucks. To start you will need a working 4-way connector like the Replacement OEM Wiring Harness part # C56110. Once that is there then just add the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7 which will give you a fully working 4 and 7-way trailer connector and the connections for your brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 part # 90195 that you have.
