Brake Controller Installation on 2003 Mazda Tribute
Question:
2003 Mazda Tribute w/ 4 pin factory tow pkg... Is the ETBC7 wiring kit all I need, besides the controller itself, all I need to go from 4 pin to 7 pin? Are there any online instructions I could look at before purchase? Thanks in advance

The Brake Controller Installation Kit, part # ETBC7 includes everything necessary for installing your brake controller- the 7-Way connector, all needed wire, circuit breakers, even the zip ties for a neat installation. We have a Brake Controller Installation Guide, I will include a link which you can find below. I have also linked you to a video showing an installation on a 2004 Explorer. Although the vehicle is different than yours, the procedure would be identical.
If you do not already have a particular brake controller in mind, I can highly recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885. The P2 is extremely easy to use, and will provide safe and predictable trailer braking.
