Do I Need to Use the ACCOLKIT to Replace a Coleman Mach 8000 With ACM150

Question:

Looking to replace a coleman mach a/c unit with the ACM150 Advent unit. also looking at the ACCOLKIT wire adapter. it shows a 5 wire adapter, my existing wire harness has 6 wire. i have a white wire that is not shown on the adapter. just wanting to see if it will work. Thanks

I have a solution for you, but the # ACM150 is not a direct replacement for your current Coleman Mach unit. Instead, the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner - 15,000 Btu - White # ACCOL150 is a direct replacement for your Coleman Mach 8000 unit and comes with the adapter that has 5 wires to match your existing unit. For this reason you won't need to use the # ACCOLKIT when installing the ACM150.

Both of these units are the same except the ACCOL150 is designed to work with your existing setup which has the 6 wires. The reason the adapter has 5 wires is because of combined functions of some of the wiring, which is not present on your unit.
