This Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket # C18115 that you referenced is designed to fit most factory and aftermarket roof racks that have a minimum of 15 inches between the cross bars and are not wider than 3 inches.
If you measure the roof rack on your 2012 Mini Countryman and it fits the above mentioned criteria then this rack will work well for you. Check out the installation instructions I attached also.
