Replacement Leaf Spring and Hanger Kit for Boat Trailer that Weighs 3,995 lbs

Question:

I have a trailer that is rated at 3995 lbs. The trailer is made by Escort built 2001, with a single axle, 2inch square. The springs are an open eye end style springs. They are a 4 leaf spring 1 3/4inch wide. The two mounting bolts are 26 1/4inch apart on center. The bolts are 9/16. The springs mount under the axle. I dont see a spring that matches. What do you recommend for replacement springs and hardware? My springs are starting to flake bad and I am afraid they might break. The trailer is always used in salt water.

The best option is going to be a 4,500 lb leaf spring part # e27SR which is a double eye spring that is 26 inches long. For a single axle hanger kit to use with this since you'll need new hangers you'll want the part # APS4. You might be able to use your current u-bolt kit but if you need a u-bolt kit and you have 2 inch square axles you can then also use the part # CE23103. If you have a different size axle let me know.
