Weight Distribution Drop Shank Recommendation for Needing 11-3/4 inches of Drop
Question:
I have a 2006 F250 with an 8 lift, 37 tires, and F450 rear leaf springs. When both are unhooked, level and empty the difference between bottom of coupler 15 to ground to the top of receiver 26.75 to ground is 11.75 inches. My weight distribution system is a bar and chain system. What size shank would work for me?

You'd need a weight distribution shank that can provide 11.75 inches of drop. For that we have the Curt shank part # C17125 which can provide up to 15-3/4 inches of drop when used with a trunnion system. This fits a 2 inch trailer hitch and has the standard bolt hole dimensions so it fits the standard weight distribution head designs from nearly all manufacturers.
