Recommended Trailer Hitch and Towing Accessories for 2015 Subaru Forester
Question:
I have a 2015 Subaru Forester and am needing to get a trailer hitch w/ the ball and joint. I want to make sure Im getting the right thing. What exactly will I need as far as wiring and accessories to go with it? And do you guys sell a complete kit with everything?

We don't have the items kitted, but I'd be happy to recommend a hitch, wiring harness, ball mount and trailer ball for you.
For a hitch, I'd recommend either the Curt Class III # C13144 or the Class III # CU64FR. Both hitches have the same 3500 lb towing/525 lb tongue weight capacity, the difference between the two is the installation difficulty and their appearance once installed.
The # CU64FR is a concealed-type hitch, once installed the crossbar will be concealed behind the bumper structure for a clean look with the receiver tube and the safety chain loops being the only thing visible. This makes for a more involved installation but it's the perfect choice for someone that doesn't want the hitch to be super-visible. The # C13144 hitch would be much more visible once installed, and also much easier to install. What it would come down to is how particular about the visibility of the hitch you are.
For a ball mount, I'd recommend the # 2753 and for a trailer ball either the # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball. For a wiring harness, I'd go with # 118467.
I've linked to the install instructions for both hitches and the wiring harness I recommended as well as to installation videos for the wiring and the # C13144 hitch. I've also provided a photo showing what both hitches look like once installed.
