Availability of Rise Adapter for 1-1/4 Inch Receiver Hitch

Question:

I need a 1-1/14 hitch riser with a hollow shank so I can an anti-rattle device between the riser and the hidden hitch for bike rack carrying. Does this even exist?

If the bike rack is designed for a 2 inch hitch, but you're wanting a rise adapter that would allow it to be used in a Class I or II 1-1/4 inch hitch, the # HT5R could be used. The 1-1/4 inch shank isn't hollow though, so you'd need to use a different type of anti rattle device like the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch, part # RM-061-125. Be aware, however that using the # HT5R adapter would lower the hitch tongue weight capacity by half.

If your bike rack is designed for a 1-1/4 inch hitch, unfortunately we don't offer a riser for 1-1/4 inch hitches. Your best bet in that case would be to go with a bike rack that has a riser built into the shank. The Swagman Trailhead, part # S63360 can carry 2 bikes, is compatible with both 1-1/4 and 2 inch hitches, has a 3 inch rise shank and includes an anti-rattle hitch pin that can be upgraded to a locking pin with part # S64029.
