Trailer Hitch and Bike Carrier for 30 and 40 Pound Bikes on a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
Question:
I have a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe and need to find out what bike rack and hitch combination is best for me because my bike weighs 45lbs and my boyfriends weighs 30lbs. Want to avoid damage to the suv and the bikes.

The most popular hitch for a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe is Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75471. This is a Class III hitch with a 2 inch receiver that is going to afford you many options for bike racks. I have included a link to a video that shows the hitch being installed a link to the instructions.
For a bike rack I recommend a platform style rack like # S64683, has the capacity to handle both bikes (90 pounds total) and it is compatible with many different types of bikes.
