Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2002 Chevy Avalanche

Question:

I am wanting to bypass the radiator transmission cooler on my 2002 Chevy avalanche. I would like to know which cooler will be large enough.

The aftermarket transmission coolers we offer are supplemental coolers and designed to work in tandem with the factory cooler as opposed to bypassing it. Having said that, you do want the largest cooler that can fit, so you'll need to measure to determine the space you have on your 2002 Chevy Avalanche.

If you have 11" wide x 12" tall x 7/8" deep of space I recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit with Barb Inlets - Class IV # D13504.

Keep in mind the 5/8" Inverted Flare Fittings # D13018 are required if your Avalanche is equipped with 5/8" hex on trans line. I have added a link to a video review for you to check out as well.
