Comparing Platform Bike Racks Thule DoubleTrack # TH92BJ and the Swagman Chinook # S64683
Question:
I have narrowed down my search for a bike rack to these two units: Thule Doubletrack #TH92BJ Swagman Chinook #S64683 Can you give me a recommendation as to which unit you all prefer in terms of quality and use. This will be going on the back of a Class C Motorhome. I realize the Swagman has a tilting option. Although that may be handy, I dont really need it for my application for the majority of the time. Im mainly looking for something sturdy, reliable, and fairly easy to use. Thanks, Gene

Both the Thule DoubleTrack Pro XT # TH92BJ and the Swagman Chinook # S64683 are really great bike rack options for the rear of your motorhome but the advantage is the Chinook. The Chinook wins for two reasons: it's a more stable rack in the hitch of the vehicle and it's priced better. Aside from that the racks are designed incredibly similar. Functionally you'd have the same experience loading and installing either but you'd notice the Chinook doesn't move around as much in the hitch.
I attached a review video for the Chinook (fast forward to end to see test course) and you can see the difference I am referring to. Both racks are rated for use at the rear of a motorhome as well.
