Will the Curt or Etrailer Hitch Fit a 2019 Mazda CX-5 Diesel

Question:

Would the the Curt # C13315 or the etrailer # e98902 fit a 2019 CX-5 diesel? That is, has anyone tried to install these on a diesel model? Just curious because local hitch dealers have told me that theres no difference in their books. Also, Id hate to buy the Draw-Tite # DR44FR when it has lower towing capacity and is more expensive than the other hitches for the gas powered CX-5s.

The only confirmed trailer hitch we have for a 2019 Mazda CX-5 Diesel is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # DR44FR. The hitch was made specifically for the diesel models as the options for the standard models will not work. Therefore, the Curt hitch part # C13315 and etrailer hitch part # e98902 won't fit.

Generally speaking, diesel models have many more components which can interfere with the installation of a trailer hitch such as the DEF tank.
