can the am-533 be made not to fold?

The folding mechanism of the Lend-a-Hand Extra Large Folding Grab Handle # AM-533 is a spring loaded mechanism that moves up to allow it to fold to either side. If you wanted to lock this out it would be a matter of preventing the handle from moving vertically so that it can swing. We don't have a recommended way to accomplish this but I am sure it wouldn't be too difficult to pull off.
