How To Convert the 4-Way To a 7-Way On a 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE-400
Question:
My 19 GLE 400 has a 4 way trailer connection. How can I convert it to a 7 or get a 7 installed? Dealer is unaware

In order to convert the 4-way trailer connector on a 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLE-400 to a 7-way you can use the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit part # ETBC7. This comes with everything you need as well as the extra wires to charge the trailer battery or power the brake controller if applicable. Please note, if the trailer has brakes I recommend using the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 since it would only require a power wire to the battery from the trailer connector, no splicing.
