Troubleshooting Brake Controller Install Where Brake Pedal No Longer Activates Brakes
Question:
I have the Insight controller and Ive used it before in the same year make and model vehicle and have now put it in a different vehicle of the same year make and model. Heres my problem, I have no power to the 7-way blue connection via the brake pedal, I do however have power to the 7-way blue connection using the slider. Where have I gone wrong this time?

Expert Reply:
The issue is the red wire of the brake controller install. It needs to be connected to a circuit that sees voltage when only the brakes are applied. It sounds like this connection isn't made in your new vehicle or the connection isn't solid enough.
