Does Curt Hitch for 2014 Nissan Murano Come with Wiring and Can it be Installed Without a Lift
Question:
Hi I am inquiring about the curt custom fit trailer hitch item 13577 for a 2014 nissan murano sl - not the cross cabriolet model. First question, does it come with an electrical wiring kit? It doesnt appear to so wondering if you sell those for it too? Can you do this install without a lift. Ive done it on other vehicles but with dropping the exhaust like it says i wasnt sure if this was still possible. Thanks!

Great questions!
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13577 just comes with the hitch itself. To add the corresponding wiring for your 2014 Nissan Murano SL you'll need the Curt # 55571 as well. I have attached installation videos for each that you can check out.
As far as installing it without a lift goes, I sifted through the reviews on this hitch and it seems like other people were able to install it fairly easily without using a lift; some people even said they didn't need to lower the exhaust at all which can be the case from time to time. So it looks like it's definitely possible to install without a lift.
For a ball mount I recommend looking at the kit # 989891 which includes a 1-7/8" hitch ball, 2" hitch ball, a ball mount with a 3/4" rise/2" drop, a pin and clip, as well as a storage bag. You will want to check out the attached ball mount article to ensure that this ball mount has the correct rise/drop for your towing application.
