Replacing 5-Way of Trailer that Has 7 Wires with 5-Way that Has 5 Wires
Question:
Hello, I have a marine trailer and want to change out the 5 pin plug. I notice it has 7 wires going into it. blue: 1 for brakes green: 2 yellow: 2 white: 1 ground All I see available for plug replacements are one with 5 wires. How can I find a replacement for the 7 wires that I have coming off my trailer?

For a replacement 5-way for your trailer the best option is the part # HM47910 which you'd need to wire by function to your trailer wiring keeping in mind that some of the circuits may be duplicates which would wire to the single wire of the 5-way. You can use a jumper wire from a vehicle battery positive post to each of the wires of your trailer to determine function and then wire accordingly.
