Parts Needed to Install 7 and 4-Way on 2001 GMC Sierra 1500

Question:

Would like to fit a combined 4 and 7 way trailer plug to my 2001 gmc 4.8l sierra1500 SL single cab, long bed 8’ truck. This vehicle has the factory 6 wire harness at bumper. No plug on those wire just 6 wire poking out of the bundle. Please advice On your products that would best suit my goal of a combined 4 and 7 pin trailer hitch socket. Thanks,

We have just what you are looking for with the part # HM40975-11998 which you'll wire to the factory wiring you found using the included butt connectors and you'll have a functional 7-way and 4-way.

The yellow wire is the left turn and brakes, dark green wire is the right turn and brakes, brown wire is for the taillights, and white is the ground.
