Recommended Trailer Wiring and Brake Controller for 2018 Dodge Durango Rt Without Tow Package

Question:

What do I need to purchase to do a combination 4 and 7 way plug on my truck ? I recently purchased the hitch from you folks and installed it . When I ped the spare down there was literally no harness for towing . I have read that a harness needs to be installed and the software reprogrammed . I would like to avoid the dealership touching my truck . Is it possible to use a wireless brake controller and a specific harness to avoid all the software programming etc. ? Please let me know ! Thank You !

For your 2018 Dodge Durango, you can absolutely get the towing wiring and controller you seek without taking it to the dealer. I recommend starting with the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118617 and then using the # ETBC7L to get the wiring and the circuit breaker. You can then use the wireless Curt Echo brake controller # C51180 which requires no additional wiring. I've attached some videos to assist you in the installation which you can absolutely do without any dealer or software programming to your vehicle.
