The Timbren Axle-Less systems are definitely the way to go and are right where my mind went when I was reading your question.

For your application you'll need a system rated for 3,500 lbs. If you need something with a higher weight rating let me know. I have linked our selection of 3,500 lb systems that you can filter through but you should just be able to use the straight spindle system # ASR3500S05 that doesn't have any kind of lift or drop.

When it comes to a hub with a 5 on 5" bolt pattern we have 2 different options; just the hub as part # AKIHUB-550-35-EZ-K or the hub and drum as part # AKHD-550-35-EZ-K. The hub and drum setup is for if you'll be using brakes on the trailer. If this is the case then I recommend using the brake kit # AKEBRK-35-SA which is self-adjusting.

Attached are some installation videos that you can check out. Also you'll want to double check that you have a 5 on 5" bolt pattern. There are a few different 5-bolt patterns for a trailer so it's always good practice to double check. I have attached a few helpful links you can check out to help you make sure of this.
