Can Trailer Wiring Harness for 2018 Honda CR-V be Attached to Trailer Hitch
Question:
Hi, I just purchased Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2 - C13397 for my 2018 Honda CR-V. In hindsight, I do want to get a wire harness for it. If I get a harness like T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, is there a mount I can use with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver that can attach the 4-pin connector cleanly? Ideally not mounting it to my bumper, but some how mounting it to the hitch receiver? Thank you!

Thank you for your purchase of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13397 for your 2018 Honda CR-V. While you can easily install a trailer wiring harness, the 4-flat will need to be mounted inside the rear hatch area of your CR-V.
There isn't a way to easily route the harness underneath your vehicle, but more importantly, the way this hitch installs on your CR-V, with a hidden crosstube that is above the fascia, doesn't allow for a clean attachment point for the harness.
The harness will still be easily accessible and work perfectly coming from the rear hatch of your CR-V, and the one I recommend is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118741.
This is the most reliable harness for your 2018 CR-V, and with any wiring harness I do recommend using Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors # 11755 to help prevent any type of corrosion in your connector to increase its lifespan.
I have added a link to a video install for you to check out as well of the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118741.
