Highest Rated Trailer Hitch To Use With Scooter Carrier On a 2019 Chevy Volt
Question:
Hello, I need to equip my Chevy Volt with a receiver that will accommodate a small mobility scooter. It weighs about 200 pounds which is above the max recommended tongue weight on the one that comes up. Is there a product that will work for this application? Thanks

The highest rated trailer hitch available for a 2019 Chevrolet Volt is the EcoHitch Invisi Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7338 which is what you'll want to use due to the larger 2" receiver tube opening. The larger 2" receiver tube opening will be needed due to the lack of carriers which will work with the smaller 1-1/4" receiver tube opening. The EcoHitch Invisi Trailer Hitch Receiver has a 300 lb tongue weight rating so this should be able to handle your scooter without a problem.
Check to make sure your Volt can handle that much weight, though.
