Fifth Wheel Hitch for 2019 GMC Sierra 3500 with OEM Rail Kit that has Removable Head

Cant separate the head from the base on a Curt A20 seems to be very tight fit, is this normal and if so, what is the best way to separate for easy removal from truck bed? 2019 GMC 3500 SRW, puck mounting

Taking the head off of a Curt hitch like the A20 part # C16140 is not normally the recommended way to remove the hitch. It wasn't intended to be easy to remove to help with the install and removal process like the B and W hitches have.

If you were looking for a hitch like this the B and W Companion part # BWRVK3705 would the way to go. It's head easily comes off to make the removal of the hitch a little more manageable. It also has hand holes in the base of the hitch to help as well.
