Recommendation for Carrying 2 Bikes with a 2012 Hyundai Veloster

Your best option to carry 2 bikes on your 2012 Hyundai Veloster is to install a trailer hitch and use a hitch mounted bike rack. Since the rear hatch on your vehicle extends so far into the roof, there are no options for roof racks or trunk mounted bike racks.

For a trailer hitch, you will want to use the Curt Class I Trailer Hitch, # C11254. It is important to keep in mind that this hitch has a 100 lb tongue weight capacity and you should not exceed that rating when loading a bike rack and your bikes. I have attached a link to the installation instructions.

For a bike rack, I would recommend taking a look at the Kuat Beta 2 Bike Rack, # B202-114. This is a light weight aluminum bike rack weight just under 13 lbs.
