Recommended 5th Wheel Base Rail Kit for a 2009 Ford F-150 with 21K Demco Hitch

Question:

I have been given a hijacker 21 ultra fifth wheel hitch for my 2009 F150 super crew short box Issue is I do not know the measurements and placement of hitch and I don’t have the kit to mount it. Any help and anything would be great

The base rail kit I recommend using with your 21K Demco Hijacker, like part # DM6076P-21K, is the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails # RP50081-58. This has the same standard base rails like what it looks like are used in the picture you attached, plus it comes with mounting brackets that are designed to line up with existing bolt holes in the frame of your 2009 Ford F-150 so you don't have to do any drilling into your frame.

Please note that if you have a 6-1/2' bed then you'll probably need a sliding 5th wheel hitch to ensure you have enough cab to trailer clearance while making tight turns. If you have a 5-1/2' bed then you can use the stationary hitch with a Sidewinder pin box for the clearance.
