Recommended Trailer Hitch for Bike Rack on a 2013 Toyota Highlander
Question:
I see a few different hitch choices for my 2013 Toyota Highlander. I am going to use it for a bike rack, any particular comments or recommendations? I would be interested in as easy an install as possible, see several customer comments in that subject

I recommend using the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98858 for a bike rack on your 2013 Toyota Highlander. This is rated as the same difficulty as pretty much all of the other hitches that fit your Highlander and the biggest benefit to this hitch is the matte black finish that not only looks great but it also hides dings and scratches from road debris a lot better than the classic glossy finish of the other hitches.
This will take a professional about 45 minutes and a novice about 90 minutes on average to install. Installing a this hitch won't be as much difficult as it is time consuming which is why the install time seems longer than some others on the market. I've attached an install video of this on a '13 Highlander that you can check out.
If you don't already have a bike rack then I highly recommend the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR because it is a great, cost-effective way to get a full Highlander plus bikes for everyone to the trail. I have attached a review video of this bike rack on a 2013 Highlander so you can get a good idea of what it would be like to have this combination.
