Tire Chains - Rental Truck  

I live on the east coast but travel out west to hunt deer or elk each year. Driving across county would add days and immeasurable frustration so I fly and rent a truck or jeep wrangler each trip. I know all about rental car rules and not being allowedinch to go offroad but elk and mule deer dont live next to the interstate so I do what I need to do in the backcountry of the National Forest and just make sure I wash the vehicle really well at a car wash before I return it. Ha! Because I fly and rent a vehicle, I dont have the luxury of bringing all the normal off-road gear that I would if I was in my personal truck. My planned hunt for 2020 is going to be later than usual so I wouldnt be surprised to encounter snow. Do you have any suggestions on a product that would provide me with improved traction in the snow or mud but also provide flexibility to fit a variety of tire sizes since I wont know the type of rental vehicle Ill have or obviously the tire size until I pick-up my vehicle? At a minimum, Im interested in a product that I could install if I got stuck that could hopefully help me get unstuck e.g. the strap on things that go around the rim and tire but ideally Id like something that I could install and leave on as I traverse the mountain roads e.g. tire chains. Do you have any products that come to mind that are somewhat universalinch that would help on my travels? Your videos, images, and descriptions, on the pages have been very helpful.
