How To Install Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller On 2009 Saab 9-7X
Question:
I am considering buying the TK90160 brake controller and I would like to get the right brake controller adapter for it for my vehicle, which is a 2009 Saab 9-7x 5.3. It has the stock 7 pin harness and the owners manual says it is pre-wired for a brake controller. The manual says that Which part number would that be? If it helps, this vehicle is mechanically the same as the 2009 Chevy Trailblazer with the 5.3L. GM owned Saab in 2009.

The Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller part # TK90160 is an excellent option for a 2009 Saab 9-7X. That said, I checked with not only Tekonsha but all other aftermarket trailer brake controller manufacturers and none offer a plug-in adapter for this vehicle. However, if the vehicle does indeed have a pre-wired brake controller port the manufacturer (Saab) will offer a pig tail harness which plugs into the port on the vehicle and then splices into the brake controller. If not, you can remove the plug on the vehicle and splice in the above to this directly but these are the only two options.
