Troubleshooting Running Light Circuit of Trailer Blinking with Turn Signal

Question:

I have a trailer with LED amber running lights and the LED red running/ stop/turn lights. Are any of the running lights suppose to blink when I hit the turn signal or flashers? The rear tail lights work just fine. Having issues with the amber running lights working on one side and not the other depending on if I turn my head lights or use turn signals left or right.

Running lights should not be affected by the blinkers or stoplights of the trailer. What you described sounds like a weak trailer wiring ground which you can improve by cleaning up the ground circuit of each of the light assemblies or even running a jumper wire for the ground circuit back to the main harness of the trailer. You also can try cleaning the pins of the trailer wiring connectors as well.
